Hearing Aid Information
Funding Available if eligible:
Dilworth Hearing works with all available funding agencies. Your Audiologist will ensure that you are aware of funding that you are eligible to receive.
Hearing Aid Subsidy:
All adults who do not qualify for other government funded assistance qualify for a subsidy of $511.11 per hearing aid every six years.
ACC:
ACC partially covers the cost of hearing aids, appointments, maintenance and repairs as well as batteries. ACC funding is available for anyone who has an accepted hearing loss claim that is attributed to loud noise exposure through work, sudden loud noises or through traumatic incidents.
Accessable:
Accessable is a support service run by the Ministry of Health to provide essential equipment and services to New Zealanders. This includes hearing aids, other hearing equipment and accessories. You may be eligible for this funding if hearing aids are essential for you to continue to work or study full-time, work as a volunteer or care for dependents and you have a Community Services Card.
Children's Special Aid Fund:
This is a support service run by the Ministry of Health to provide hearing aids for children under the age of 18 years. This funding covers the total cost of hearing aids.
War Pensions:
War Pensioners who have a hearing loss that is attributed to noise exposure during their military service may qualify for a subsidy of $800 plus GST per hearing aid and coverage of the cost of appointments. Also they will receive a battery allowance.
Work and Income NZ:
Your WINZ assessor will be able to let you know if you qualify for any assistance to a maximum of $1,000.00.
